Environmental: Working in flood plain, waste reduction.
Value Engineering: Old lagoons required emptying, the client started removing it by road tanker but this was expensive and slow, instead the bulk of the liquid was removed to the treatment works and Atlas used a soil stabilisation process to dry the remaining waste and it was removed by excavator and taken away by road lorries. This method was quicker, and the volume was significantly reduced.
Client Feedback: Very pleased with the cost saving, and the reduction of material to landfill.
